Photo: Ollantaytambo. The terrace fields of this megalithic city rise from the valley floor where even some of the buildings can be found. Much different than the more remote other 2 large cities Pisac and Machu Picchu.

Photo: The famous 6 rose colored granite blocks at Ollantaytambo. Height about 4m.
Photo: The filler stones with each having one embossing near its bottom.
Photo: The quarry for the 6 granite blocks is assumed to be on the other side of the valley, 100m above the valley floor. Some rocks can be find on the path between the quarry and the standing 6 blocks.
Photo: The surface of the granite shows some strange marks like impressions into a soft concrete mass.
Photo: Shaped natural limestone rock.
Photo: Purple colored granite, shaped like those in Tiwanaku.
Photo: More Tiwanaku style shapes.
Photo: Bathrooms with water conduit in the natural rock above and outflow in the floor.
Photo: These bathroom facilities are located inside the house which is quite unusual for a time 700 years ago. Water basins in the back with water conduit in the natural rock above and subterranean outflows. The small room in front might have been a toilet.
