Photo: The next morning we rise early and take the first train to Aquas Calientes, the "gateway" to Machu Picchu.

Photo: In a couple of hours we reach Aquas Calientes, the town which serves as a gateway to Machu Picchu.
Photo: Here we board a bus for the 30 min. switchback ride up the side of the gorge to the ruins.
