Photo: Fading into the sunset.

I wish that this lost attraction didn't have to fade into the sunset, but alas, things much change and evolve.

Man I miss these guys. I took this back on a Spring Break trip with a great friend of mine. It's shot with a bad 36mm Camera, and I caught my friends head also. Sadly it's my only shot of this group ever, and I don't want to forget them.

Photo: On another Magical Day at Walt Disney World in Florida, our family caught another ride on the classic attraction Journey Into Imagination with Figment. As we approached the pavilion, I snapped this photo quickly with my point and shoot. I felt like it wasn't a bad shot, but maybe a few things I could have done better. I've just now re-edited the photo, adding some color, and increasing the contrast and it really brought out the reflection of the sky on the pyramids. Again, I'd love to get another shot at this photo.

This photo is tied to my recent release of Journey Into Imagination: https://plus.google.com/b/116295951595701293530/116295951595701293530/posts/d6W9FAvzyQa

Photo: One final one for this Friday. It's another re-edited photo from a few years ago. Again, I'd love to have another crack at this shot now, maybe on the next trip.

There is a bit of distortion that I tried to wipe out, but it proved to be too difficult. Between the warping, the sligtly twisted photo, and the forced perspective of the building, it's proved to be a little too much. I did adjust the colors a bit plus adding a little contrast to make the clouds pop a bit.

Photo: On a trip to Disney in the spring of 2004, my friends and I spent one of many days in the parks. Today we were in Epcot. The fireworks had finished and the masses made the push towards the exit. As we were walking out, I had to take at least one shot of Spaceship Earth. I know it's not perfect, and actually that's kind of what I'm going for. I think I made the same mistake most "tourists" make when taking a picture. Now, I did try to fix it some in post processing with Cropping and Straitening, and adding a bit of "Lomo" effect in Photoshop, but there's only so much you can do when the picture isn't a good composition to begin with.

So what improvements would you do to get a better version of this shot? Where would you stand? Would you zoom? And try to take into account you're not able to stand around for 30 minutes for the crowds to thin out.

Photo: Epcot's Flower & Garden Festival provides photographers of all levels with opportunities to take photos with amazing color and vibrancy. This photo was taken on a day trip to the parks where we got to see and enjoy the flowers all day. This is an older photo and doesn't have all the pluses of my newer equipment. I've tweaked it slightly, adding some color to the sky, increasing the colors and contrast, and finally a bit off cropping to remove some off the extra stuff. Now, I would have probably waited to include a monorail in the shot, but back then I wasn't quite as savvy.

Photo: Back in the 90's, Epcot looked much different. I took this on a beautiful morning on Spring Break. This is actually a scan of the printed photo from the trip.

Photo: Entering Epcot

The storm clouds were looming, preparing for the typical Florida summer thunderstorm. As I waited outside Epcot for my friend to arrive, I snapped a few shots.

I love the flag in the foreground with Spaceship Earth rising up in the background. I only wish it were a prettier day.

Photo: Spinning globe

I was really enjoying the fireworks part, but it's always fun to try and capture the globe as it's spinning.

I love how the lights on the buildings and the sky all came out in this one.

Photo: Illuminations Lighting Up The Sky

On a beautiful night in Epcot I was fortunate enough to find a spot on the Italy island that sticks out into the Lagoon. It was a wonderful viewing area and allowed me a great view of the fireworks and Spaceship Earth in the distance.

I've been reading a bit online about how to take fireworks photos, but I'm missing a piece of equipment still, an ND filter. I can see now how it would improve things even more as far as colors, but I have to say as a first attempt at fireworks photography, I can see the promise of it being there someday.

PS. Happy Fourth of July everyone, and God bless America where we can have wonderful places such as Epcot that celebrate such rich diversity.
