Application Submission

IMPORTANT: Extension of Certification Deadline

We have extended the certification deadline to Dec 5, 2016 as many Google Ignite applicants have been experiencing a bug in the certification exams. Please be reminded that you would still need to submit the 1) application and 2) rank job form before Nov 14, 2016.

1) English Resume

Upload your resume. The resume should be in English, does not include any contact information, within the one page limit of an A4 paper, and in PDF or doc(x) format. It can include working experience, education background, awards, extracurricular activities, and personal interests and skills etc.

2) Short Essays

Please answer the following questions in English and within the word limit.

  • Why do you want to get into the digital marketing field? (max. 300 words)
  • Create a marketing plan to promote a product / service of one of the flagship companies (please see homepage to find out the list of flagship companies) to consumers (aged 22 - 35) with a HK$50,000 budget. Your plan can be based on the following questions. (max. 1,000 words)
    • What is your assessment of the company's positioning and competitive landscape?
    • Given the above assessment, what is your campaign idea and marketing message?
    • What are the key success metrics and what is your estimate of the results?
Scoring Criteria
  • Quality of the analysis (30%)
  • Idea’s appeal and feasibility (35%)
  • Proposition logic (35%)

3) Transcripts

Most recent full-year or graduation transcript of university or tertiary institution

The transcript should be in PDF format.

Official HKDSE Scores or other equivalent public examinations

The certificate should be in pdf format.

Evaluation Criteria

Current students
  • 60%: In-school performance / internship or competition experience
  • 40%: Short essays
  • Extra points: 5% extra points will be awarded for each additional AdWords advanced exam passed (such as Display Advertising, Video Advertising etc.)
Recent graduates (non-marketers only)
  • 20%: In-school performance / internship or competition experience
  • 40%: Work experience
  • 40%: Short essays
  • Extra points: 5% extra points will be awarded for each additional AdWords advanced exam passed (such as Display Advertising, Video Advertising etc.)
