Certificate of Completion

Each student team member and their professor will receive a personalized Certificate of Completion recognizing their work and social impact if they complete the following requirements:

  • Pass the Academy for Google Ads Fundamentals Assessment
  • Submit a Pre-Campaign Marketing Strategy
  • Fill out a Pre-Campaign Form
  • Run a 4-Week Google Ads campaign meeting minimum account structure and performance requirements according to Challenge Google Ads Guidelines
  • Submit a Post-Campaign Analysis
  • Fill out a Post-Campaign Form

Top Marketer Certificate

Student teams who meet the above Certificate of Completion requirements and receive a positive client experience survey rating will receive a Top Marketer Certificate recognizing their excellent performance and social impact. The client experience survey, which is taken by nonprofit partners, evaluates overall team performance by measuring client relationship management skills, the full-scope of marketing tactics executed (in and/or outside of Google Ads) and the quality of program deliverables.

Note: Each participant that meets the above qualifications, will only receive one certificate. Those that receive a Top Marketer Certificate will not also receive a Certificate of Completion. All Certificates will be emailed to qualifying participants 2-3 weeks after submitting the Post-Campaign Analysis.

Social Impact Spotlight Series

Student teams that meet Top Marketer requirements have the opportunity to pitch their story to be featured in our Social Impact Spotlight Series. Spotlight stories will be shared with the world on the OMC website and our social media channels.

Spotlight stories are identified through a series of reviews conducted by Googlers and the Global Academic Panel, evaluating the quality of the team's Pre-Campaign Marketing Strategy, Post-Campaign Analysis and Spotlight Pitch. Student teams that are selected to have their story featured on the website will also have the opportunity to participate in a Hangout on Air with Googlers near and far to see what a day-in-the-life of a Googler looks like, how to prepare for a job at Google and what’s new in the Google Ads space.

Don’t just share your Spotlight Pitch with us, share it with your classmates, your university, your local newspapers, and more! It’s a great exercise for learning how to pitch a story, showcase your work, and share your impact in and outside of the classroom.

Top Marketers will find a link to the Spotlight Pitch form in their Certificate email, but expect to provide the following:

  • Team background
  • Photos and/or videos capturing your Challenge experience
  • Client purpose/mission
  • Strategy overview
  • Impact analysis
  • Lessons learned/skills developed
  • Memorable moments and/or quotes from your nonprofit partner
  • Where are you and your nonprofit partner today
